Thank you for enjoying the posts! We offer a 3 hour guided bike tour of Athens in 90% car free areas of the old city. Rhodes has some nice cycling outside the main town. Santorini is not cycling-friendly, too few roads and too much traffic on them -- it's a better hiking island. Crete has terrific cycling but it is more for moderate to advanced cyclists. I cannot speak for Istanbul but clients who have biked there tell me it is perilous.

Enjoying your posts.
Traveling to Greece (2 seniors) in May.
What are shorter (1/2 day), easier, less risky cycling opportunities you know of in Athens area, Santorini, Rhodes, Crete, and Istanbul area.
Thank you.

Regards,

Yes, Giorgos Altyparmarkis is a legendary bicycle mechanic with quirky shop hours. He usually opens about 2 or 3 in the afternoon and works until 11 pm or midnight.

By the way your post on Athens Bike Shops is interesting. http://www.clubantietam.com/?p=1323

There is also Kassimatis Bike Shop in Piraeus specializing in Specialized bikes.
8, Ippodamias Sq.
